Doing Business with Cobham

Cobham has developed a Responsible Supply Chain Management Policy which is based on the BS8903 guidance standard.

 

Based on a review of our key customers and end users, we have set out on this page our commitments and expectations for social and environmental performance. As we continue to develop and implement our RSCM policy we will assess current and prospective suppliers against these expectations.

 

 Our vision is for our supply chain to share our commitment to managing responsibly and to demonstrate their continually improving performance in this area.

 

 We always require our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction. Our RSCM policy however goes beyond legal compliance and sets out our expectations of our suppliers where local legislation does not match our ambition. We recognise that not all of our policy expectations may apply to all categories of supply and we will adjust our requirements accordingly. Our procurement teams will work with suppliers to respond to these changing needs.

    Social

    We operate to the highest ethical standards; we expect our suppliers to operate their business in a similar fashion. Our social objectives address: Bribery and Corruption; Human Rights including Modern Slavery; Conflict Minerals & Labour Standards; Ethical Complaints and our Supplier's Social Licence to Operate.

    When we engage with the supply chain to procure materials, products & components, we use a whole life costing approach & expect our suppliers to operate & communicate business continuity plans appropriate to the nature of their business & its criticality to our business. We will pay our suppliers in accordance with the terms we agree.

    Environmental

    We all must act responsibly to protect our environment and we aim to continually improve our environmental management to ensure we use resources more efficiently and minimise our impacts. Our environment objectives address the following areas: Environmental Protection, Hazardous Materials, and Resource Efficiency.
