Also referred to as a Platter Slip Ring or Flat Ring Style, Pancake Slip Rings are used when there is limited axial length or height available for the Slip Ring but space does allow for a larger diameter. The Pancake design offers greater circuit capacity than a drum style in a reduced height package. The rings are positioned on a flat disc in a concentric pattern resembling a phonograph record. Power and signal ring quantities depend on available space, ring discs can be stacked to increase circuit quantity.
